Psychotherapy
People come to therapy for all kinds of reasons. Maybe you're feeling stuck in depression, anxiety, or anger. Or you feel a deep sense of loneliness. You might find yourself navigating a tough life transition, like relationship changes, becoming a new parent, managing an illness or injury, starting a new job, or grieving the loss of someone close to you.
Whatever brings you here, therapy is a space where we can sort through it together. I believe therapy works best when you feel safe and supported in the therapeutic relationship. That sense of connection is where healing begins. Change can be daunting, but you won't be facing it alone. I'll be here with you each step of the way. |

Beyond easing distress, we'll work together to help you learn tools, deepen your self-understanding, and build the confidence that will enable you to make meaningful changes that let you live more fully and authentically.
Scheduling your first appointment
When you schedule your first session, I'll ask you to complete some paperwork before we meet. This intake packet includes a questionnaire about the concerns you are bringing to therapy, along with some family, educational and medical history. It also includes office policies, a therapy consent form, insurance details (if you're planning to use it), and a HIPAA privacy statement. The intake packet usually takes about 35, and should be completed on the Client Portal before your appointment. This helps us make the most of our time together in your first session.
Your new patient appointment will be 90 minutes so that we have plenty of time to explore your current concerns, discuss relevant history, and start putting together a plan that fits your needs. After that, therapy sessions are typically 50-minutes long. Most of my clients find that sessions one to two times each week work best for them. We'll decide together what frequency of sessions best supports you.

Do you have questions? Wondering if therapy could help? I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation to answer your questions and help you get a feel for how we might work together. Just click the Schedule a Phone Consultation button at the bottom of this page.
Telehealth Services
While I recommend in-person sessions when possible, I also offer Telehealth as an option. This can be helpful if you are out of town or out of state, or if you know that you will be unable to get to the office (e.g., in case of inclement weather, recovery from illness or injury, COVID-19 precautions, etc.). If you typically file with insurance health plans, we will need to confirm that your specific plan covers Telehealth services for mental health.
We can talk through the pros and cons of Telehealth in session so that you know whether this would be a good option for you. I am authorized to offer Telehealth services to clients throughout Texas and in all other PSYPACT participating states. |
