Increasing COVID rates: Telehealth and Limited In-Person Appointments Available

COVID-19 cases are once again rising across the US, and across Texas in particular, driven by the NIMBUS (NB1.8.1) variant. While this variant does not appear to cause more severe illness than previous strains, it is spreading more quickly. Many people are experiencing symptoms such as a sore throat that feels like "razor blades," mouth sores, hoarseness, fever, fatigue, and gastrointestinal upset.

​I work with many clients who have chronic health conditions, and I take their well-being very seriously. For that reason, I am contining to offer telehealth appointments to anyone who prefers them. In-person appointments remain available, but I encourage you to consider the following:

• If it has been more than six-months since your last COVID booster, please consider getting one. This remains our best protection against serious illness and long-COVID symptoms.
• Masking in indoor public spaces is still a simple and effective way to reduce risk, especially when community spread is high.
• If you are feeling unwell, especially with a sore throat, fever, or stomach issues, or if you believe you may have been exposed to COVID-19, please switch your appointment to telehealth. I will do the same if I am feeling unwell or have had a potential exposure.
